By participating in Ka ʻAha Hoʻolauna Aloha Inc. events, you acknowledge and consent to the following terms regarding the use of your likeness and any photographs or video footage taken during the event.

Grant of Rights: I hereby grant Ka ʻAha Hoʻolauna Aloha, Inc., its affiliates, agents, successors, and assigns the irrevocable right and permission to take, use, re-use, publish, and republish photographs or video footage of me or in which I may be included, in whole or in part, or composite or distorted in character or form, without restriction as to changes or alterations, in conjunction with my own or a fictitious name, or reproductions thereof in color or otherwise, made through any medium at their studios or elsewhere, and in any and all media now or hereafter known, specifically including but not limited to print media, digital media, and online media, for art, advertising, trade, or any other purpose whatsoever.

Release of Liability: I hereby release and discharge Ka ʻAha Hoʻolauna Aloha, Inc. from any and all claims and demands arising out of or in connection with the use of the photographs or video footage, including but not limited to any claims for defamation or invasion of privacy.

No Compensation: I understand that I will not be compensated for any use of the photographs or video footage that contains my likeness.

Age Confirmation: I affirm that I am at least 18 years of age, or, if not, that my parent or legal guardian has agreed to this release to give consent on my behalf.

Code of Conduct

This and all Ka Aha Ho’olauna Aloha Inc. conferences are a place for Ka Aha Ho’olauna Aloha Inc. attendees to meet, learn, interact and share ideas with each other. In doing so, it is important that attendees build a community that is based on purpose, trust, and boundaries. As in any community, members have different opinions and choose to express those ideas in many ways. However, community is most effective when we remember a few rules that foster respect for individuals, groups and the organization. To participate in this conference, you must follow the policies outlined below.

• The content presented at this conference is meant for Ka Aha Ho’olauna Aloha Inc. attendees only and is intended to fulfill our mission of fostering inclusivity, celebrating and perpetuating the wisdom of Hawaiian culture to enlighten hearts, heal divisions, and nurture harmonious coexistence.

• Audio or video recording of any kind at the conference without the express written consent of Ka Aha Ho’olauna Aloha Inc. is unlawful and strictly prohibited.

• All attendees of this conference must be individually registered.

• By registering for this conference, you agree not to impersonate any person or entity, misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity, nor share your conference credentials with someone not registered for the conference.

• You agree not to share any material that you know to be false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person’s privacy, or that otherwise violates any local, state, or federal law.  No unauthorized distribution of any materials at the conference is permitted.

• You further agree not to transmit or otherwise make available any content that infringes any patent, trademark, copyright, or other proprietary rights of any party.

• You agree to follow all conference and facility rules and guidelines.

Liability Waiver

​Ka Aha Ho’olauna Aloha Inc. cannot prevent you from becoming exposed to, contracting, or spreading COVID-19 while attending its conferences and/or entering the premises where Ka Aha Ho’olauna Aloha Inc.’s events are held. Therefore, if you choose to attend a conference organized by Ka Aha Ho’olauna Aloha Inc. and enter the premises where its conferences are held, you may be exposing yourself to and/or increasing your risk of contracting or spreading COVID-19.

• ASSUMPTION OF RISK: I have read and understand the above warning concerning COVID-19. I hereby choose to accept the risk of contracting COVID-19 for myself in order to attend a Ka Aha Ho’olauna Aloha Inc. conference and enter the conference premises. I accept the risk of being exposed to, contracting, and/or spreading COVID-19 in order to attend in person.

• WAIVER OF LIABILITY: I hereby forever release and waive my right to bring suit against Ka Aha Ho’olauna Aloha Inc., its officers, directors, employees, volunteers or other representatives for fault in connection with exposure, infection, and/or spread of COVID-19 related to attending a Ka Aha Ho’olauna Aloha Inc. event. I understand that this waiver means I give up my right to bring any claim based on negligence, including for personal injuries, death, disease or property losses, or any other loss, whether known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen.

• CHOICE OF LAW: I understand and agree that the law of the State of Nevada will apply to this contract.   

Voluntary Agreement: 

By registering for this conference, you agree to the Terms and Conditions listed above.  Failure to comply with the Terms and Conditions may result in consequences, including your removal from the conference without a refund.
