Pūpū Niʻihau Earrings
Participants for this presentation is limited to only 7 (seven) students. This 2-hour workshop will introduce the different stages of producing Niʻihau shell jewelry. This would include gathering the shells on the beach, sorting them out by shape, size, color, etc. Next, cleaning the shells and removing the sand from within each individual shell. Then, drilling each shell in a specific area that will determine a specific pattern when sewn.
Participants will make a pair of Niʻihau shell earrings to take home! If you would like to make a longer pair of earrings, with two additional longer length options, we will send you an invoice for the additional cost. Please indicate this in the Notes section when you register and we will contact you.
