Hele mai! Bring your ʻukulele, guitar, your voice, and your hula hands!

Mele Hawaiʻi, encompassing Hawaiian music and songs, spans several categories, such as chants, hymns, and more. This class will include musical instrumentation and singing of what can often be called a "jam session." Join us for an enjoyable experience of Hawaiian folk music along with popular tunes from days gone by.
We are so grateful to have Uncle Mel back to share this workshop. Those who attended this workshop last summer agree that it was an enriching and heartwarming experience. Listening to Uncle Mel "talk story," share his mana'o and 'ike transcended mere musical instruction. It was a celebration of Hawaiian culture, inviting us into a deeply personal space where every note played and word spoken resonated with the warmth of shared stories and experiences. This workshop wasn't just a learning opportunity; it was a heartfelt invitation into the essence of Hawaiian hospitality and tradition.
